Originally a 1920 school house, the Old School Liquor Bar is located in Huetter Idaho between Coeur d’Alene and Post Falls. With a population of around 100 people and .04 square miles, the city of Huetter is the smallest incorporated city (by area) in the United States. John T Huetter, founding father, owned the local brick quarry, brickyard and lumber mill during the 1890’s.

Born in Germany in 1866, John came to Spokane in 1892. As a skilled stonemason, he built the school house along with the historic Huetter house located on Gonzaga. John eventually sold the mill to Ohio Match and over the years, as Coeur d’Alene and Post Falls expanded the once school house was converted to a bar.
